15 curiosity + experiences welcomes and gives the floor to Séra, artist, sculptor, draftsman, author. Séra invites us to an immersion in his native Cambodia. Identity of Cambodia, Water, Earth, sensuality of the visible bodies or ghosts … Séra gives us keys to better understand the small kingdom of Cambodia, true jewel of Asia.
« Fantôme Limbs » asks about the history and identity of contemporary Cambodia, nearly forty years after the end of the Khmer Rouge regime. Séra presents paintings, sculptures, drawings and excerpts of his next graphic novel « Bitter Cucumbers », which is scheduled for publication in early September 2018.
The man who draws, the man who sculpts or the man who paints, invites us to a deeper journey, more distant, more torn too.
The Franco-Cambodian artist is totally committed to his art, he invites us to step back and meditate, in a journey that is both dark and sensual through space and time.
The exhibition « Phantom Limbs » is part of the festival « Cambodia, from yesterday to today » – Season of Cambodia – which showcases through the events in Paris and the Paris region, the artistic renaissance and culture of Cambodia.
