Le travail de Simon BERAUD s’articule autour des questionnements de l’existence en tant qu’humain. Ces thématiques omniprésentes articulent son travail de recherche : l’identité, les racines, l’ancrage et le déracinement, les frontières, l’amour, la mémoire.
D’entre les ombres, les lumières et les formes, Simon BERAUD invite le spectateur à plonger dans la subjectivité d’un certain regard posé sur le monde. Il invite à dépasser le je, le moi à la recherche d’une vue plus universelle. Son objectif : trouver des correspondances et des résonances avec ces questionnements qui animent son dessein. Son œuvre rend hommage à la vie, aux hommes et aux femmes – surtout aux femmes.
La série « Adage » présentée à la galerie Rachel Hardouin a été créée sur la période 2023 – 2024, au moyen format.
Simon Beraud’s work revolves around existential questions as a human on Earth… Identity, roots, borders, love, memory – are omnipresent themes in his work. Throughout the shadows, lights and shapes, his images invite us to delve into the subjectivity of a certain way of looking at the world. It invites us to go beyond the I, the self, in search of a more universal view and to find resonances with these questions that animate his work. A work that’s a homage to life, men, women – especially women. The “Adage” series presented at the Rachel Hardouin gallery was created over the period 2023 – 2024, in medium format.
